Iowa Testing Reminder
April 13—17
(Grades 1–8)
As we prepare for Iowa testing, we want students to feel confident, prepared, and ready to do their best. Iowa and MAP testing windows have been on the school calendar since July 2025; thus, being present and on time every morning next week is IMPERATIVE—there are NO make-ups.
To help your child succeed:
Please note: There will be no homework or tutoring during Iowa testing week.

- Maintain a consistent sleep schedule beginning this weekend
- Provide a healthy, high-protein breakfast each morning
- Limit electronics after 5:00 PM throughout testing week
- Ensure your child arrives on time and ready each day

ALL students who purchase their 2026-27 1st Day School Supply supply box and complete the 2026-27 Innovation Learning Fall Registration before May 15 will receive a FREE Dress Day Monday, May 18!
Parish Verification for Reduced Catholic Tuition
Please complete the Parish Verification Google Form as soon as possible. Families who are registered, active, and participating members of a Diocese of Phoenix parish are eligible for the reduced Catholic tuition rate. The reduced rate will become effective when verification is provided by your pastor. Those families not registered, active, and participating members of a parish will pay the full tuition rate for each student enrolled in the school. You may find the Diocesan letter explaining how verification works here. We will contact parishes in April to confirm registration.
Call for SAB Applications
The St. John Bosco School Advisory Board (SAB) is made up of parents, community members, and faculty who work together to support the success and well‑being of all students. Its purpose is to promote academic excellence, champion school‑wide initiatives, and serve as a representative voice for the broader community.
To learn more about the advisory board, please visit the SAB page. If you would like to serve on the SAB, see the application here and submit it via email to Principal Mrs. Bescak and current SAB Board President Cindy Casaus, or drop it off at the school office by Monday, April 20th, 2026.

Annual SJB Talent Show
Thursday, April 23, 1:15 PMThe Student Council will present the annual SJB Talent Show on Thurs. April 23 @ 1:15 pm. Grade K–8 students are invited to participate.
Although talent show auditions have concluded, students may create a piece of art and scan it to Mrs. Heffron to be included in a slide show (sheffron@sjbosco.org). Art show submissions are due to Mrs. Heffron by Friday, April 17.
