Dear Parents,
This Sunday marks the final opportunity to secure your child's spot for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. As we gear up for Catholic Schools Week, we begin the review and acceptance of new students. Several classes are already full, with waiting lists in place. To ensure your child's enrollment, please complete the re-enrollment process by this Sunday. All current families have received re-enrollment emails multiple times this past month and received another reminder this week.
This weekend marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week, the most thrilling time for our students and community! Encourage your children to wear their SJB school uniform to Mass at your home parish this weekend to display their school spirit. As a special incentive, every student who wears their school uniform to Mass this weekend will enjoy a Free Dress Day on Thursday, February 5th.
Mr. Caradonna has organized another fantastic Field Day, but he requires your assistance to make it a success. Kindly SIGN UP HERE to contribute to the fun and games. Remember, each family is expected to volunteer at least 25 hours annually, making this an excellent opportunity to fulfill your volunteer commitment and enjoy the great outdoors with your kids!
I also encourage parents of students at all grade levels to attend our PTO and Dads' Club-sponsored Parent Nights. Many families have found these evenings both informative and helpful, particularly around topics such as student mental health and navigating technology within the family.
At St. John Bosco Catholic School, our mission extends beyond educating our students—we are committed to supporting and educating our faculty, staff, and parents as well. By following the mission of St. John Bosco and educating the whole child, we believe that knowledge is power.
While we continue to encourage families to wait until students graduate from St. John Bosco before providing cell phones, we also understand that each family’s circumstances are unique. For this reason, we offer Parent Night guest speakers, student presentations, trainings, and shared resources to help families make informed decisions that are best for their households.
Next Monday, February 2nd, therapist Travis Dale will present on the topic “Mental Health: What Matters Most to Kids.” I also encourage parents to visit the Parent Resource tab below to access past presentations and resources that have been shared with our SJB families.
Joyful Blessings,
Jamie Bescak, Principal
St. John Bosco Catholic School
